Mental Health Awareness Week: Supporting Children, Young People and Families

Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week, an important opportunity to raise awareness, encourage conversations, and remind children, young people and families that support is always available.

At FYT, we know that mental health affects every part of family life. From the pressures young people face at school to the challenges parents and carers manage every day, taking time to look after emotional wellbeing has never been more important.

Throughout the week, we are encouraging everyone to check in with one another, make time for meaningful conversations, and remember that small acts of kindness and connection can make a big difference.

Whether it’s spending time outdoors, talking openly about feelings, reaching out for support, or simply taking a moment to pause, every step towards better mental wellbeing matters.
