As autumn turns to winter, trees lose their leaves and the weather grows colder. The following fun craft helps children observe how the seasons change and how nature prepares for winter.

🍂❄️ Paper Plate Seasons Tree

You’ll Need

  • Paper plate

  • Brown crayon or marker

  • Scraps of paper (old magazines, coloured paper, or even junk mail)

  • Glue stick

  • Scissors (or tear paper by hand)

How to Make

  1. Draw the Tree:
On the paper plate, draw a simple tree trunk and branches with a brown crayon/marker.

  2. Create Autumn Leaves:
Tear or cut pieces of red, orange, and yellow from old magazines or paper.
Glue them on half of the tree’s branches.

  3. Create Winter Effects:
Tear or cut small white pieces (paper or tissues) and glue them on the other half of the branches as “snow.”

  4. Optional Extras:

    • Add a little snowy ground at the bottom.

    • Draw falling leaves or snowflakes around the plate.
