Create a Homemade Memory Box
Grab an old shoebox and get creative with your child by decorating it together. Use photos of family, friends, and your child, along with cut-outs of their favourite TV or storybook characters to make it personal and fun.
Once it’s decorated, have a chat about what special items they’d like to keep inside. It could be anything meaningful to them — a beloved teddy, a pinecone collected on a nature walk, or even a train ticket from their first train ride.
Having their own memory box filled with treasured items helps your child build a strong sense of identity and provides a lovely way to reflect on meaningful moments as they grow.
